Bob Dumas
As star host of "The Showgram," g105’s intensely popular and outrageous morning radio broadcast, Bob Dumas entertains an average of 362,000 listeners each week. While devoted, his fan base represents a mere fraction of superstar Nick Dimondi’s. Attempts to remove Bob and his controversial opinions from the air are cyclical. Nick doesn’t typically experience negative feedback.
Bill Cowher As the beloved former Steelers' head coach, Bill Cowher amassed a substantial win record and, like Nick, won a Superbowl. So while it is reasonable to assume the duo's fan base is similar, there are subtle differences. ESPN deemed Cowher's face, “…the best known jaw in the NFL, a jutting block of granite…” Nick's nose is more pronounced.
Greg Fishel As WRAL's chief meteorologist, Greg's well-known weather forecasts are accessed by 196,000 viewers each night at 6 pm. But unlike Nick Dimondi's ravenous public, Fishel tends to accumulate only fair weather fans and is generally not regarded as a sex symbol.
John Edwards Although he wants to create universal healthcare, halt global warming, cease poverty and end the war, John Edwards discovered he does not have 90 million fans when he netted only 803,960 votes in the 2008 Presidential primaries. Nick tends to be less political so fan resemblance is minimal.
Eric Staal In 2005, Carolina Hurricanes' center, Eric Staal, had his first hat trick against the Philadelphia Flyers. While Nick has also scored three times in one night, there are disparities. Stall was drafted second overall in the 2003 NHL Draft. Nick Dimondi usually is not chosen second.
